SERVICES FOR REAL ESTATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT

When someone says they are looking for property management, my response is to ask them to elaborate.
There are many types of real estate management. Here's the difference:

Resident Manager or Site Management

This category typically includes resident managers in apartment complexes, cooperatives or condominiums
(they live on site.)

Property Manager

Property managers generally handle the day to day business of operating a rental property whether residential,
retail, office, industrial or mixed use. Think of the property manager as the chief operating officer responsible
for site managers, if there are resident managers. They are responsible for maintaining and creating additional
value through operation of the property. It is critical in today's investment climate to have experienced property
managers.

Real Estate Asset Manager

Asset managers focus on managing real estate as a financial asset by making decisions that will govern the
financial performance of the property. Emphasis is placed on activities that will add value to the property under
management. Operating roles are left to property managers and site managers. The asset manager sets
performance goals. An asset manager may be involved with a property through its entire life cycle as an
investment - from acquisition to disposition. The real estate asset manager must possess an in-depth knowledge
of the market in each investment category, in addition to knowledge of financial developments and potential
physical obsolescence caused by external factors.

I act as a real estate asset manager, but never a property manager or site manager. I do offer referrals to
qualified professionals in property management and site management.
